This is an equation to describe the relationship between the paramagnetic contribution (R2sp or Γ2) to the increased transverse relaxation rate (R2). The terms of the equation are r, the distance in cm; K, a collection of physical constants; τc (tauc), total rotational correlation time; ω , the Larmor frequency; and Γ2 (the term that defines the paramagnetic relaxation enhancement) the additional transverse relaxation caused by the free radical (electron(s)).
