A position of NMR Research Scientist is available at Alcon Laboratories, Inc.

Background and job responsibilities

The incumbent will work in the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Unit and provide NMR analysis, specifically structure elucidation and confirmation services, to the Unit's customer groups. Customers include medicinal, process and analytical chemists. The incumbent should be an expert in state of the art NMR techniques and have good working knowledge of protein structure NMR.

Candidate requirements

  • Ph.D. in an applicable discipline (i.e. Chemistry) and usually 1-4 years related experience.
  • Master's degree in an applicable discipline (i.e. Chemistry) and at least 6 years related experience
  • NMR Experience (Bruker Instrument experience preferred) including familiarity with Biological NMR
