The Department of Biochemistry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas invites applications for a NMR and Analytical Chemistry Facility Lab Manager.
This position is to run a facility of 4 NMR’s that are utilized for small molecule structural work. The facility, comprised of Varian 300, 400, 500 and 600 MHz instruments, supports research from 10+ chemistry and biochemistry labs. Responsibilities will include application support, maintenance, training and support in development of new NMR methods.
Candidate requirements
We desire a person that is application oriented with experience with small molecule NMR. A Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field with previous managerial experience is desired along with excellent oral and written skills, the ability to work with a large number of people and excellent organizational skills.
