A postdoctoral position is available immediately at the City College of the City University of New York.

Description

The project involves development of NMR methodology to determine the structure and dynamics of large proteins. The candidate will have significant access to the NMR facilities in-house (600 MHz with a cryoprobe) and to those at the New York Structural Biology Center (NYSBC, 500-900 MHz all with cryoprobes). The NYSBC is situated on the City College campus a few yards from the laboratory and is the largest such center in the United States.

Qualifications

  1. PhD or equivalent.
  2. Background in NMR theory and simulations.
  3. Background in NMR methods development for solid-state or solution NMR.
  4. Ability to implement novel pulse sequences for Bruker and/or Varian spectrometers.
