A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available in the laboratory of Megan Macnaughtan, Department of Chemistry, Louisiana State University.
Job Summary/Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Researcher carries-out federally funded research in the area of protein nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in an interdisciplinary research environment.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. or equivalent degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field; extensive experience in protein NMR; computer literacy; ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing. A.B.D. (All But Dissertation) candidates will be considered, but must have Ph.D. by June 14, 2010.
Desired Qualifications: Experience in isotopic labeling, protein expression, paramagnetic relaxation enhancement (PRE) NMR, and protein NMR structure determination; ability to work independently and effectively with graduate students, facility and staff.
