Code?

Is this a LaTeX module? If so, which one? This would be very useful for me...

Hi Frederik,

it uses latex to draw symbols everything else is written in python. Do you want to make images for your articles/thesis or you have something else in mind?

I will eventually create a web-applet so that you can make images and save them on your computer whithout publishing them on the web as it is now.

I don't want to release the code yet but a compiled shareware version is an option (have to work on it though).

That is exactly what I have in mind. Well, I would prefer source, but I would also be happy with a compiled version. It is not very urgent (yet), but I will need some solution in the next few months.

But 'simple' images will not do, unless it has a high resolution, or is in a vector graphics format. So a pyhton script converting the syntax used here to LaTeX code (which I could use directly in my thesis) would be the perfect solution.

I agree, bitmap images don't work for printing. Vector graphics version will use svg format.

Suggestions

Right now I am missing the feature to draw long gradients. Also the possibility to indicate loops would be nice.

Ramped long pulses might also be useful.

Thanks, I will work on better documentation and error reporting this week. This example 3D_NOESY-TOCSY_NMR_Experiment has a "long" pulse (it's attached to two anchors in the beginning and at the end). Drawing gradients like this is not possible yet.

Wiki category for drawings

Insert [[Category:Pulse sequence drawing]] in the end of article containing the drawing - to make finding examples easier (here) Note: category name is in singular.

(In the future this link will be inserted automatically)

Todo

Approx. in the order of decreasing priority:

  • ramped long pulses
  • long gradients
  • vector graphics (decided on svg format)
  • loops
  • automatic adding to category "pulse sequence drawings"
