About the project

The successful candidate will develop and implement novel multi-dimensional NMR experiments for studies of supra-molecular protein systems, including TROSY based methodology. They will also be involved in the development of software for the assignment of methyl correlations to specific sites in proteins using a combination of different NMR techniques. Other duties involve training of students and post-doctoral fellows; conducting independent studies of high molecular weight proteins, including molecular biology and sample preparation; and the implementation of new experimental techniques in the laboratory.

Candidate requirements

PhD degree with 4 years or more post-doctoral experience and a demonstrated publication record in the fields of structural biology, NMR spectroscopy and studies of very large proteins by NMR. The incumbent should be well versed in molecular biology and protein purification; as well as possess excellent written and verbal skills as they will be responsible for writing high quality first drafts of manuscripts that pertain to their own research.
