J. Young valve NMR tubes
From NMR Wiki
NMR tubes equipped with J. Young valve allow controlling athmosphere above sample.
A glass adaptor fits (see figure) the inlet of the valve with the gas/vacuum line. The seal is achieved by a pair of rubber O-rings.
Tips: (1) Viton rubber is not recommended to use with ketones, aldehydes, ethers or aliphatic esters. Aegis o-rings should be used for those applications. (2) If you spin your samples, it helps to use tube of appropriate length so that the tube valve sits right on top of sample spinner. J. Young valve is quite heavy and may create imbalance in the spinner-tube assembly.
Tubes like these are available from a number of suppliers.
