National Facility for High Field NMR, TIFR Mumbai, INDIA National facility for high-field NMR inTata Institute of Fundamental Research , TIFR, is a premier NMR facility in India. It caters to research in NMR from both within TIFR and various educational institutions and industrial establishments in India.
Set up in 1983 with support from Deparment of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, and Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India, it houses state of the art NMR spectrometers and other related facilities.
The facility currently houses a Bruker 800Mhz spectormeter Varian Unity Varian 600 MHz spectrometer,and a Bruker . Avance Bruker 500MHz spectormeter widebore spectrometer. While the former is exclusively a solution-state NMR spectrometer, the latter can be used for both solid-state, solution-state NMR and in-vivo works.

CERMAX CERMAX - Centro de Ressonância Magnética António Xavier, located whitin ITQB (Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica), is one of the centers of the Rede Nacional de Ressonância Magnética. Its principal mission is to make the best possible conditions for using Nuclear Magnetic Ressonance available to the Portuguese scientific comunity, as well as disseminating knowledge of the technique.
Despite national academic community focused on the CERMAX is a center open to the outside, accepting proposals for projects from scientists and researchers of foreign as well as domestic orgin and also from industry.
CERMAX hosts the spectrometer with the higest field in Portugal (a Bruker AvanceIII of 800MHz equipped for experiments with solids as well as liquids) and the center also has two spectrometers of 500 MHz (one of which is also equipped for the acquisition of spectra of solids) and one of 400 MHz. These instruments support a wide range applications, including the determination of structures of proteins or small molecules, metabolic studies, science of materials and in vivo NMR, among others.
Lab-Tools Ltd., Kent, UK. Nano-science of liquids and their solids, nano-metrology, pore-size measurement, and instrumentation design and implementation. Lab-Tools Ltd have a dedicated NMR Cryoporometer for the academic and contract measurement of pore sizes in the range 1nm to 1um, also make low field (20MHz) relaxation measurements. Have just completed a 3 year EPSRC funded study on methane hydrate in pores.
