Offset

From NMR Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

Offset (Ω, omega; majuscule ) is the difference resulting from substration of the rotating frame frequency (ωrot.frame, omega; minuscule) taken from the Larmor frequencey (ω0). Then, Ω is given by the expression: [Ω = ω0 − ωrot.frame]. The units for offset are in hertz.

Additional Usage

"Offset" may also refer to transmitter frequency offset (O1). The transmitter frequency offset is calculated by subtracting the basic transmitter frequency (BF1; see Larmor frequency) from the transmitter frequency (SFO1): O1=SF01-BF1.
