Strength of magnetic field is measured as amount of magnetic flux going through a unit area, perpednicular to the direction of the flux.

Common units for the measurement of magnetic field are Tesla (SI system) and Gauss (SGS system)

1 Tesla = 10000 Gauss

1 Tesla = 1 Weber/ 1 m^2</sub>
