Nov 8, 2007 I am writing this to announce a new web-resource with a focus on NMR spectroscopy - www.nmrwiki.org. Some of the things that could be posted are - theory bits, manuals and tutorials for the software, pulse programs, literature references, links, utility toools. More ideas?

I have a suggestion: data repository (variable formats are viewable using spinworks; K. Marat) for NMR FIDs (not the processed picture and not the list popular with organic chemists), but the actual data. So many times I want to SEE the data when I read an article and invaribly something is missing from either the list or the parameters. I want to see the actual data the scientific conclusions are being based on.

There is NMR data repository in Biomagres bank. But that's specific just to biomolecular data. And even given that that repository exists, only few actually deposit their FID's there. Apparently there should be some way to encourage people upload data. I think this is the biggest problem - there should be a mechanism to upload data in very few steps.

Current wiki file upload works for one file at a time and then you have to separately insert a link to the uploaded item. That is two steps for each file.
