NMR experts! Here is a rare opportunity to move to NMR sales! Experienced NMR sales folks get an opportunity to move to a superior, customer-focused company, and to work for an experienced sales manager. You'll cover Central US states.

We welcome experienced sales professionals from an NMR background, BUT we also want to talk with promising technical experts from this arena who want to move to sales. This is your chance to get OUT of that lab and into a fun job helping other chemists make good decisions on equipment. If you have the NMR background we want and have the personal skills to do well in sales, my client will provide the training you need to be a success in the field.


You will represent NMR as well as other high-end analytical equipment to an enthusiastic group of clients in a broad industry range. Take good care of 10-15 key lab accounts in your territory and "grow" the accounts. Establish your presence with lab managers, stay informed of the competition and be there for repeat business.

This is a "consultive sell" situation, and you will impress lab customers with your knowledge of equipment and methodology. In addition to existing business, we also have lots of room for account development and new cold calls. Our products are respected and trusted--and we can control quality and pricing as we make all of the major components ourselves in most products.

Work from your home and let my client pay for your gasoline! We set you up with your home office and you get to work from home, and travel around your territory. Your territory includes the Midwest US, and you'd be able to cover this large territory best if you live in business centers like Chicago, Indy, Detroit, or Denver.


This is an established company with a good name and a solid history, and with an experienced and well-liked manager. I have placed great salespeople at this client for nearly 5 years, and nearly all are still on the job. Many employees have been with this company over 20 years, and everyone you meet will be upbeat and professional. Most chemists I talk with prefer this client's products over all others, so it is a good quality product you will be proud to sell.


Negotiable base salary plus commission; after you learn the ropes and are at target you should make at least 160K, and some of our experts make over 200K per year and much more. Commission plan is extremely reliable, with a very high cap. Also you get a new company car (Dodge Caravan) and gas and expenses (you also get to use car for your personal use and so does your spouse). Work out of your home, let my client set your home office up with laptop and Internet service.


  • You have a Masters' in chemistry (or related science) with at least 3 years experience using NMR in the lab, (or you have a Phd with less years of NMR experience)
  • You have a good handle on what the NMR can do; how and where it is used, and what kinds of problems it can solve.
  • It would be great if you have sales experience. However, if you bring us the NMR skills we need and have a great "customer facing" personality/communication skills and a desire to learn sales, we can give you training on the rest
  • You live near the territory and know the area and clientele
  • You can travel! Where, when, and how much you travel really depends on your exact location, and how often you decide to visit your clients in certain US areas.
  • You are US Citizen or US Permanent Resident, or have TN visa. Sorry NO H-1 or OPT visa.
