- Expertise
My research at BU involves using natural products as scaffolds for reaction screening and also using new NMR techniques (for eg. dqfCOSY) as well as differential NMR imaging to quickly identify new products and new reaction pathways. In addition, I currently maintain a Varian 400 MHz mercury plus spectrometer equipped with an ATB probe as well as a Protasis microcoil flow probe (hardware and software, probe tuning, shimming and cryogen fills). Further, I also maintain two Varian inova (300 and 400 MHz) spectrometers equipped with sms sample changers and a manual 300 MHz mercury spectrometer. In addition to maintaining the instruments, I also train new users as well as implement new NMR experiments to include several NMR active nuclei (59Co, 195Pt, 31P, 19F etc) as well as develop new protocols (eg. HOESY, 19F-1H COSY etc).
